Job Requirements

  • Education level relevant to culinary or food service management
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision
  • ability to read and interpret schedules and production packets
  • strong communication skills
  • basic math skills
  • completion of sanitation certification
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • capability to lead and motivate a team
  • adherence to health and safety standards
  • physical ability to perform duties

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise the day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production to guarantee safety and excellence
  • ensure food products are kept in a secure and well-arranged setting
  • uphold designated serving times and ensure meals are distributed safely and correctly
  • maintain hygiene compliance with health and safety statutes
  • ensure accurate food safety and temperature record keeping
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • implement routine maintenance inspections and suggest equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • keep the working environment safe and free from hazards
  • cover for missing staff members when required
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in gatherings with food service employees
  • encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill responsibilities associated with cashier tasks
  • assist with additional tasks as required by Food Service Director or Manager
