Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing food service programs to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to regulate emotions under pressure
  • skill in addressing interpersonal conflicts effectively

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient operations
  • uphold food production safety and quality standards
  • maintain secure and organized food storage
  • ensure timely and safe meal distribution following menu and guidelines
  • maintain hygienic conditions compliant with health and safety statutes
  • fill out accurate food safety and temperature records and address any issues
  • update inventory weekly
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • implement routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and teamwork
  • provide guidance and support to staff adherence to operational guidelines
  • maintain a safe work environment free of hazards
  • cover for absent staff members
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in team meetings
  • promote positive relationships among team and clients
  • stay updated on catering schedules to ensure timely event preparation and delivery
  • work occasional evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill cashier responsibilities
  • assist with additional projects as assigned
