Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary operations
  • sanitation certification or willingness to obtain
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent communication abilities
  • physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform food service tasks
  • commitment to maintaining food safety and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • ability to perform basic mathematical computations
  • effective organization and attention to detail
  • ability to regulate emotions under pressure
  • skill in resolving interpersonal conflicts
  • experience working in a food service supervisory role preferred
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • strong communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production standards to ensure safety and quality
  • ensure secure and organized food storage free of hazards
  • ensure meals are distributed safely and correctly in accordance with menu and company guidelines
  • maintain hygienic area compliance with health and safety regulations
  • fill out food safety and temperature records accurately and address issues
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • conduct routine maintenance inspections and suggest equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development, productivity, motivation, and collaboration
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • cover for missing staff as needed
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in food service team meetings
  • encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on day catering schedules to guarantee timely preparation and delivery of events
  • be ready to work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill cashier tasks as assigned
  • assist with additional tasks by Food Service Director or Manager
