Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
- completion of sanitation course within the first year of employment
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- strong communication and leadership skills
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
- adherence to health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken instructions
- completion of a sanitation course either prior to or within the first year of employment
- experience managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
- basic math skills
- strong organizational and detail orientation skills
- ability to manage emotions under pressure
- effective interpersonal conflict resolution skills
Job Duties
- Create and manage employee schedules
- supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
- uphold food production standards for safety and quality in compliance with policies
- ensure food products are stored securely and safely
- maintain hygienic area compliant with health and safety laws
- complete accurate records documenting food safety and temperatures
- update inventory records weekly and maintain equipment
- monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
- provide guidance and support to food service staff
- maintain a safe working environment
- cover for absent staff when necessary
- communicate regularly with employees
- participate in employee meetings
- encourage positive relationships and strong public relations
- coordinate daily catering schedules and prepare for events
- perform cashier duties when required
- assist with projects as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
