Job Requirements
- be at least eighteen years of age
- demonstrate leadership training and supervisory skills
- possess proficient written and oral communication skills
- have completed formal culinary food service or restaurant training or possess equivalent management-level work experience
- be skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel
- be able to send receive and forward emails
- be physically active including standing walking bending kneeling and stooping all day
- able to lift or move items up to 50 pounds frequently
- comfortable working in extreme temperatures including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers
- available to work indoors and outdoors for events
- be in good health and physically mentally capable of performing assigned tasks verified by health screening
- demonstrate freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis
- obtain criminal clearance
Job Qualifications
- formal culinary food service or restaurant training or equivalent full-time supervisory or management-level experience
- demonstrated skills knowledge and competency in leadership training and supervision
- proficient written and oral communication skills
- ability to create modify and print documents using Microsoft Word and Excel
- experience in senior housing or related field preferred
Job Duties
- oversee culinary department providing consistent exceptional five-star service in front and back of house
- ensure food items are prepared to culinary standards and provide residents exceptional dining experience while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
- develop menus of seasonal and mainstay choices based on resident preferences and needs utilizing fresh foods
- lead and train culinary team
- manage inventory and ordering supplies
- maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- collaborate with management and staff to enhance resident satisfaction
