Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, walking, stooping, and handling objects up to 50 lbs
  • Availability to work weekends and/or holidays
  • Ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a culinary cook or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow detailed food preparation procedures

  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Follow all specifications to properly and efficiently prepare and present all food items including accommodating special guest requests
  • Follow all specifications to properly and efficiently prepare all culinary items specific to the station
  • Properly handle all products used in hotel cooking including trimming, cutting, marinating, covering, labeling, and storing pre-prepared foods
  • Ensure proper portions of meats, fish, and poultry as specified are served
  • Personally ensure the quality and quantity of all food items on the station
  • Take daily inventory of all items in the walk-in and assist with ordering stock as directed
  • Rotate food in the refrigerator to minimize waste and spoilage
  • Promptly notify the supervisor of product spoilage
