Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift and carry food supplies weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to push/pull dish carts weighing 250-400 pounds
- ability to stand and walk for 50% of the workday
- ability to work on slippery, wet floors
- ability to climb step stools, stairs, and kneel occasionally
- ability to communicate orally and in writing with residents, coworkers, families, and the public
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or culinary aide role preferred
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- good communication skills
- ability to work in a team environment
- physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- attention to detail
- willingness to learn and assist as needed
Job Duties
- Portion food/beverages
- work tray line position
- wash/sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and carriers
- prepare resident nourishments
- service coffee hour and special functions
- assist Chef
- read and arrange diet card tray identification labels in proper order
- stock shelves
- use, clean, and sanitize assigned areas
- maintain confidentiality
- project a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, coworkers, and public
- additional duties as assigned
