- High school diploma or GED
- current food handler certificate from the local health department
- must obtain food handler’s license, CPR, and first aid certification if not already certified
Job Qualifications

- ability to follow and scale recipes to meet serving needs
- strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
- effective supervision and organizational skills
- basic budgeting and purchasing experience preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise food service staff in a residential setting
- prepare menus and convert recipes to accommodate required meal quantities
- order food and maintain an appropriate food service budget
- prepare invoices and purchase orders for administrative approval
- prepare and serve meals according to approved menus and health department regulations
- ensure compliance with infection control and sanitation policies
- oversee laundry services, linen changes, and sanitization of residential rooms
