Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must comply with state and local mandated requirements and FMCSA regulations
- Must pass DOT testing and physical requirements
- Must have an acceptable driving record
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Ability to sit and drive for up to 12 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work night-time schedule
- Willingness to travel extensively including overnight stays
- Capable of physical activities such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching
- Familiarity with safe loading and unloading procedures
- Forklift certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3+ years of related experience
- 2+ years of commercial driving and warehouse experience
- Accredited commercial driving school certificate
- CDL Class A license (EZ Driver license for Canada)
- Fully DOT qualified with valid driver’s license and proper endorsements
- Knowledge of DOT regulations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel
- Basic oral and written communication skills
- Ability to follow clear directions and procedures
- Ability to work under supervision with provided guidelines and priorities
Job Duties
- Drive truck to transfer product between locations, wholesaler and drop box locations in outlying markets
- Pickup truck at the warehouse/cross dock and may load truck according to safety standards and to ensure product integrity
- Verify the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the delivery
- Drive to the destination and may physically unload the truck, verify parts unloaded, obtain signature of receiving location confirming accuracy and integrity of order
- Make proper notations on the manifest or provide credit memos on parts being returned
- Pick up stock purchase orders or buyout purchase orders from vendors and bring parts back
- Complete check-in process when returning to the location to verify parts and paperwork
- Turn in paperwork after check-in
- Comply with established company policies and procedures
- Initiate and support continual improvement of LKQ's quality improvement program
- Pass random drug testing as required
- Complete annual training as assigned
- Operate in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
- Assume other duties as assigned
