Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Kansas driver's license required
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime on short notice
- Ability to operate commercial motor vehicles up to and over 26 000 pounds
- Ability to travel between schools and central offices
- Ability to use iPads and basic office equipment
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting standing reaching climbing balancing crawling and driving for extended periods
- Ability to attend meetings as required
- Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
- Ability to maintain punctuality and appropriate professional appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred

Job Duties
- Deliver perishable and non-perishable food products groceries and supplies on an assigned route in a timely accurate manner in accordance with HACCP guidelines
- Assist managers in putting up food products as needed
- Deliver catering and box lunch specials and other equipment and supplies as assigned
- Pick up hot and cold transport carriers as applicable if assigned to routes and unload the carriers in the Food Production Center
- Observe all laws governing the operation of commercial motor vehicles weighing up to and over 26 000 pounds and perform all delivery responsibilities in a safe manner abiding by Department of Transportation regulations
- Process all delivery forms and records timely and accurately
- Recommend any improvements for delivery to the Technician V- Delivery
- Perform preventative maintenance on trucks including checking oil tires and lifts and keep exterior and interior of trucks clean and free of trash including washing trucks
- Report any malfunctions of equipment to Technician V- Delivery
- Perform all assigned duties in other areas of the nutrition service warehouse including pulling stock from freezer loading and unloading delivery trucks secondary food route unloading transport trucks or janitorial work
- Serve as a member of the Food Drivers Team in the Food Production Center
- Prepare assemble and serve food as needed for the Summer Nutrition Program
- Perform all services and duties on any assigned food delivery routes including hot shots call backs or assigned jobs designated by the Supervisor or the appropriate department technician
