Job Requirements
- Must have a valid drivers license with a safe driving record acceptable to the company
- ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen no THC to the extent legally permissible
- must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role
- full-time availability with the ability to work additional hours and overtime as needed
- ability to lift up to 70 lbs, push and pull items weighing up to 400 lbs with assistance, and occasionally maneuver up to 130 lbs
- must wear safety composite shoes
- must be at least 21 years of age
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- minimum 1-year truck driving experience operating a 16ft or longer straight truck or comparable driving experience
- experience in high volume or small package delivery
- basic English language skills both verbal and written
- ability to learn and use software applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
- proficiency with technology including GPS and mobile Proof of Delivery devices
- strong decision-making skills related to driving, parking, safety, and customer interaction
- strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and resolve issues
- personal commitment to growth and development
Job Duties
- Drive a variety of route assignments to cover for vacations and absences at least 50 percent of the time
- provide outstanding customer service by resolving problems and accepting product returns
- transport products safely and deliver office supplies on assigned routes
- load vehicles depending on volume and maintain organized delivery manifests
- ensure safe work practices and foster a safety culture
- act as a problem solver for customers by providing support and resolving issues
- perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns
