Job Description

The Courtyard Bloomington Normal hotel is a premier hospitality establishment located just a block off Veteran's Parkway in Normal, Illinois. Centrally positioned near Illinois State University, this hotel serves a diverse clientele including visitors to major corporations such as State Farm Insurance, Country Financial Insurance, and Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing of America, as well as tourists and business travelers exploring the Bloomington Normal area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in the hotel or related field
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Compliance with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with genuine warmth and keep check-ins and check-outs smooth and stress-free
  • Manage reservations, VIP requests, and guest inquiries to provide personalized service
  • Track logs, manage messages and packages, and ensure front desk operations run seamlessly
  • Monitor room rates, packages, and promotions to optimize revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Lead, train, and build a strong front desk team fostering communication and collaboration
  • Address guest concerns and workplace issues promptly and effectively while maintaining safety and standards
