Job Description

Courtyard by Marriott Appleton Riverfront is a distinguished 3-star hotel located in Appleton, just 1.5 miles from Lawrence University. The hotel features modern accommodations including a restaurant, free private parking, a fitness center, and a bar. Job Requirements

  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • Food Handlers Certification required (must comply with State requirements)
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
  • A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions

  • Share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
  • Keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
  • Take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
  • Manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
