Job Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license as per state requirements
- must have a good driving record as outlined in company policy
- must meet and maintain qualifications outlined by FMCSA
- required to pass medical exam according to FMCSA or FAA regulations
- ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- neat appearance
- must be able to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with assistance
- non-covered safety-sensitive position
- willing to work various days/shifts
- must comply with federal motor carrier safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- six months courier experience preferred
- ability to demonstrate area knowledge
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- demonstrated skills in adaptability and dependability
Job Duties
- Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
- checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- provides related customer service functions
- performs other duties as assigned
- maintains neat appearance due to customer contact
- adheres to all FMCSA regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation
