Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to maneuver heavier packages with assistance or equipment
- neat personal appearance
- ability to work safely and maintain constant alertness
- must obtain and maintain valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements
- must have good driving record per company policy
- must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- must pass required medical exams
- ability to follow traffic laws and respond appropriately to official inquiries
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- six months courier experience preferred
- ability to demonstrate knowledge of the service area
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic and safety communications
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- demonstrated adaptability and dependability
- valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- ability to pass medical examination in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
Job Duties
- Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
- checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- provides related customer service functions
- lifts and maneuvers packages up to 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- maintains compliance with FMCSA safety regulations
- performs other duties as assigned
