Job Requirements
- must have a high school diploma or GED
- prefer six months courier experience
- ability to lift 50 pounds and handle heavier packages with equipment or assistance
- good verbal communication skills
- thorough knowledge of the service area preferred
- must be able to demonstrate area knowledge
- must be at least 21 years old
- must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations
- must pass medical exam per FMCSA or FAA regulations
- must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license
- neat appearance
- ability to work in a state of constant alertness and safety
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- six months courier experience preferred
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- demonstrated adaptability and dependability
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and official communications
- at least 21 years of age
- clean driving record
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages efficiently
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
- provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- perform related customer service functions
- follow federal motor carrier safety regulations
- maintain a neat appearance during customer contact
- perform other duties as assigned
