Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must pass all FedEx Express and regulatory background checks or security threat assessments
- must meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations
- must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license and hazardous materials endorsement
- ability to pass medical exam and comply with alcohol and drug testing including marijuana
- ability to work safely under constant alertness
- neat appearance required due to customer contact
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- six months courier experience preferred
- knowledge of local area routes
- ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- ability to maintain composure and reliability
- valid commercial driver’s license with hazardous materials endorsement
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic and safety communications
Job Duties
- Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- provides related customer service functions including the delivery, pick up or shuttle of dangerous goods packages requiring vehicle placarding
- performs other duties as assigned
