Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum six months courier or driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with equipment or assistance
- Demonstrated area knowledge
- Meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Pass FedEx Express and regulatory background checks
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement (HME)
- Good driving record
- Ability to read and speak English
- Medical exam clearance
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing
- Neat appearance
- Ability to work safely and attentively
- FMCSA covered safety sensitive position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months courier experience preferred
- Must demonstrate area knowledge
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
- Demonstrated adaptability, dependability and excellent courier methods
- Must meet federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Must pass background checks and security threat assessments
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Must be at least 21 years old
Job Duties
- Operates company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
- To check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area
- Provides related customer service functions
- Delivery, pick up or shuttle of dangerous goods packages requiring vehicle placarding
- Performs other duties as assigned
