Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license as per state requirements for assigned vehicle
- good driving record as outlined in policy
- must be at least 21 years old
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to safely handle packages above 50 lbs using equipment or assistance
- ability to read and speak English
- meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
- neat appearance
- ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety
- non-covered safety-sensitive position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- six months courier experience preferred
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred
- demonstrated adaptability and dependability
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance or equipment
- at least 21 years of age
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
Job Duties
- Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages
- checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area
- provides related customer service functions
- performs other duties as assigned
