Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- neat appearance
- meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
- require medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- medical exam required
- ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle type
- ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with equipment or assistance
- strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations section 391
- ability to read and understand English traffic signs and instructions
- meet medical exam requirements as per FMCSA or FAA
- neat appearance and professional conduct
- at least 21 years of age
Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provide courteous and efficient customer service
- perform package handling including lifting and maneuvering of packages up to and above 50 lbs with assistance
- comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and safety policies
- maintain a neat appearance and professional demeanor while interacting with customers
- perform other duties as assigned
