Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver heavy packages with equipment or assistance
- Meet qualifications under FMCSA Section 391
- Pass required medical examinations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to maintain alertness and safe driving practices
- Neat appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Must meet Federal Motor Carrier safety qualifications as outlined in section 391
- Medical certification in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Neat appearance appropriate for customer interactions
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently
- Provide courteous and timely delivery and pick-up of packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Perform customer service functions related to delivery and pick-up
- Maintain a neat appearance and professional demeanor
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company policies
