Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 pounds with assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Meet FMCSA safety regulations, including a medical exam
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and speak English
- Able to work safely and remain alert
- Valid driver’s license for past 3 years without suspensions or gaps
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- Good verbal communication and human relations skills
- Able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Must meet FMCSA qualifications and pass required medical examinations
- At least 21 years of age
- 1 to 2 years of delivery driving experience preferred
- Clean driving record with no lapses, suspensions, or interruptions in licensing for the past three years
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service
- Load and unload packages safely using appropriate equipment or assistance
- Comply with federal, state, and local safety regulations including FMCSA standards
- Maintain neat appearance and professional conduct when interacting with customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
