Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance or equipment
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Meet Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations requirements
- Good verbal communication skills
- Neat appearance
- Ability to read and speak English
- Non-covered safety-sensitive position
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
Job Duties
- Provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Provide related customer service functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with traffic safety officials
- Maintain a neat appearance for customer contact
