Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid driver's license for the assigned vehicle type
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic communication
- Pass medical examination per FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Ability to maintain constant alertness while operating vehicle
- Ability to lift and handle packages up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to perform physical labor using appropriate equipment or assistance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed to operate the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance or equipment
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of traffic safety rules and regulations
- Ability to interact professionally with customers
- Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations section 391 qualifications
Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service during delivery interactions
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Follow all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including section 391 requirements
- Perform medical exams as required by FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Maintain neat appearance and professional demeanor
- Execute additional duties as assigned
