Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Must meet FMCSA section 391 qualifications
- Medical exam required under FMCSA or FAA regulations
- Ability to work safely and remain alert at all times
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid commercial driver’s license for the assigned vehicle type
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to or above 50 lbs with appropriate assistance
- Good verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain neat appearance and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in customer service preferred
Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- Check shipments to ensure conformance with FedEx features of service
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service during deliveries and pick-ups
- Handle packages safely, lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages with assistance
- Comply with FMCSA regulations and maintain required safety standards
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Complete delivery documentation and report any issues or discrepancies
