Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or help
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Must meet FMCSA qualification standards
- Medical exam passed according to FMCSA or FAA standards
- Ability to work safely and maintain alertness
- Competent in English reading and speaking for traffic communication
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid license for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs and above with assistance
- Strong verbal communication and human relations skills
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic and safety communication
- Neat appearance and customer service orientation
- Ability to maintain alertness and operate safely for entire shift
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick-up packages in a timely and courteous manner
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional appearance
- Adhere to all federal and company safety regulations including FMCSA requirements
- Perform package handling including lifting up to 50 lbs and maneuvering heavier packages with assistance
- Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition and report any issues promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operations
