Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be licensed for type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages weighing more than 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Neat appearance
- Must meet FMCSA medical exam requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages with appropriate equipment
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow traffic signs and instructions in English
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages courteously and efficiently
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provide related customer service
- Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations as outlined in FMCSA and FAA standards
- Lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Maintain neat appearance and professional communication while interacting with customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
