Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver's license for the type of vehicle assigned
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- neat appearance
- meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
- medical exam as per FMCSA or FAA regulations
- ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- at least 21 years of age
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with traffic safety officials
- completion of application and driver requirement form
- no gaps, suspensions, or interruptions in driver's license for the past 3 years
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver's license for the type of vehicle assigned
- ability to lift and maneuver packages up to and over 50 pounds with equipment or assistance
- good verbal communication skills
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with safety officials
- must meet FMCSA and FAA medical exam requirements
- at least 21 years of age
- clean driving record without gaps, suspensions, or interruptions for the past 3 years
Job Duties
- Drive and operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provide courteous and efficient customer service
- perform other duties as assigned
- maintain neat appearance and professional interactions
- comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- communicate effectively with customers and traffic officials
