Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Be at least 21 years old
- Punctual with strong time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Customer service experience
- Ability to problem solve customer issues
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- No experience or education required
- Current or prior Labcorp experience is preferred
- 2 or more years of professional courier or route-based delivery experience, ideally within a medical or laboratory company, is preferred
- 1 or more years of experience handling medical specimens or supporting hospital or laboratory operations is preferred
- 2 or more years of experience using handheld delivery-management devices or route optimization tools, such as scanners, GPS-based routing software, or dispatch applications, is preferred
Job Duties
- Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups
- Complete daily pick up schedule in a timely manner
- Deliver all daily picks to the branch at the end of the shift
- Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner
- Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
- Utilize handheld electronic device to manage daily picks up
- Work directly with dispatcher for additional pick-ups as needed
- Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed
