Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class D driver’s license
- Medical card
- 21 years of age or older
- One to two years courier driving experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic emergency roadside repairs
- Must be able to operate in snow and ice conditions including ability to chain up
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and assignments
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to maintain accurate logs
- Must comply with HSSE policies and procedures
- Must be able to handle outside weather conditions
- Must be physically capable to perform duties safely
- Experience with material handling, HAZMAT, and forklift preferred
Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- Valid Class D driver’s license
- Medical card
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years’ courier driving experience preferred
- Previous material handling experience preferred
- HAZMAT experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Integrity and initiative in a team environment
- Experience operating in snow and ice road conditions
- Must be customer focused and professional
- Basic knowledge of commercial e-log systems
- Time management skills
- Map reading ability
Job Duties
- Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles being operated, reporting discrepancies immediately
- Ensure that cargo is secured for transport in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Operate sub-CDL equipment (speeder van/Courier Truck) for delivering customer freight
- Maintain good housekeeping standards with focus on care and custody of materials
- Pickup orders at warehouse and prepare for delivery
- Prioritize and complete day-to-day activities based on customer needs
- Assist on the dock and/or with two-employee deliveries
- Maintain rear facing event recorder
- Update tablet based on pickup and delivery orders
- Maintain contact with terminal dispatcher/warehouse
- Maintain accurate courier stop-logs/jockey sheet
- Field incoming calls and respond appropriately to customer inquiries
- Perform basic emergency roadside repairs when required
- Perform all other duties as assigned
