Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate engagingly and warmly with guests
- Passion for and deep knowledge of coffee menu, bakery, and savory offerings
- Desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, holidays, and afternoons/evenings
- Physical ability to lift, move, and carry over 50 pounds
- Ability to work 8 or more hours a day on feet
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to grasp and reach overhead
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience as a barista using manual espresso equipment preferred for barista positions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about coffee and food
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Provides gracious and high-quality service to guests by welcoming them to the cafes and engaging throughout their experience
- Determines guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
- Has comprehensive knowledge of all Tatte products
- Takes guests' orders using the point-of-sale system/register
- Executes all Tatte product and packaging standards
- Delivers coffee beverages and food to guests
- Maintains clean and well-stocked café stations
- Actively maintains and supports café cleanliness and visual/brand standards
- Complies with and follows all safety and sanitation standards at all times while adhering to policies and procedures
- Prepares and serves or delivers beverages according to Tatte recipes and specifications
- Answers guests' questions about offerings
- Follows all recipe and presentation standards for beverages
- Operates all barista station equipment according to standards
- Keeps the bar clean and sanitary in accordance with applicable standards and well-stocked with inventory
- Delivers beautiful and artistic espresso beverages
- Other duties as assigned
