Job Requirements
- Completion of four years of high school or equivalent
- minimum two years experience in institutional food services
- experience with institutional food service equipment
- ability to pass written culinary exam
- Serv Safe Certification within 60 days of hire
- fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exemption statement

- judgment and planning skills required for food preparation
- minimum of two years experience in institutional food services including experience with institutional food service equipment
- ability to pass Southcoast written culinary exam
- Serv Safe Certification required within 60 days of hire
- must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with signed statement
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of food
- monitor food produced for quality, temperature and flavor
- identify any issues via tasting, portioning and visual appearance and make corrections as needed
- accurately extend recipes to ensure proper yields and maintain meal costs
- practice and enforce sanitation policies
- keep production and temperature records up to date and report any problems to the Manager on duty
- ensure all refrigerators and freezers are clean and organized
