Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a kitchen environment
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- Available to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment
- Willingness to work on-site at one location
- Legal authorization to work in the country
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting
- Knowledge of geriatric nutrition and dietary needs
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Food safety certification is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Commitment to providing high-quality resident care
Job Duties
- Prepare meals and plan menus that meet residents' nutritional needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborate with nursing and caregiving staff to accommodate special dietary requirements
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff
- Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with management
