Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Available to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment
  • Willingness to work on-site at one location
  • Legal authorization to work in the country

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a healthcare or assisted living setting
  • Knowledge of geriatric nutrition and dietary needs
  • Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Food safety certification is preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Commitment to providing high-quality resident care

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals and plan menus that meet residents' nutritional needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Collaborate with nursing and caregiving staff to accommodate special dietary requirements
  • Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in training and mentoring kitchen staff
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with management
