Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid state driver’s license
- at least one year of experience in a high volume food preparation environment
- knowledge of safe food handling procedures
- ability to operate kitchen equipment
- physical ability to lift and carry heavy food containers
- excellent communication skills
- willingness to work onsite full-time
- ability to follow schedules and maintain timely food delivery
Job Qualifications
- complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, as well as to identify and differentiate food items
- high-level product knowledge and the ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service
- excellent attention to detail
- valid state driver’s license for the vehicle used for transport
- at least one year’s experience in a high volume establishment with an emphasis on cooking from scratch
- food handler’s certification (preferred)
Job Duties
- performing food preparation and production tasks while following recipes and safe food handling policies and procedures
- ensuring proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftover food
- loading and transporting food products from one location to another according to an assigned schedule
- supervising kitchen staff and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards
- maintaining kitchen equipment and inventory
- coordinating with correctional facility staff to schedule meal deliveries
- documenting and reporting any issues related to food quality or transportation
