Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year culinary experience in a quality and high volume food service environment
  • experience with scratch cooking techniques
  • ability to supervise and train a team
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work full-time onsite in Upper Marlboro, Maryland
  • Food Handlers certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years' prior culinary experience in a quality and high volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks at once
  • experience supervising a team
  • high-level product knowledge
  • ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation
  • ensuring meal services begin on time
  • ensuring that portion, appearance and temperature for all food items is appropriate and of high quality
  • supervising kitchen staff to maintain efficiency and adherence to standards
  • coordinating food preparation and service operations
  • enforcing food safety and sanitation regulations
  • managing inventory and supply ordering
