Job Duties
- Calculates the necessary quantities of recipe ingredients in order to ensure that production is correct and meets basic needs
- ensure that the food is attractively arranged on the plates
- follows established procedures for the storage of food, supplies, and equipment in order to comply with sanitation and safety standards
- follows standard recipes and utilizes specified preparation techniques so as to comply with diet requirements and, when needed, provide a compliant food substitution where necessary
- operates and maintains equipment in accordance with the department or manufacturers specifications so that no damage or excessive wear and tear occurs due to a failure to comply
- helps offer appropriate feedback on recipes or techniques as needed in order to identify ways to improve their taste
- performs other duties as assigned
