Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food preparation
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively within a team

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to read and follow recipes
  • Positive attitude and reliable attendance

Job Duties

  • This role is ideal for an individual who can work independently, manage time effectively, and follow recipes accurately while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
  • Days: Monday, Friday, and every other weekend
  • Hours: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Prepare meals as directed by the Head Cook
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas
  • Serve meals in the dining room and deliver meals to resident rooms as needed
  • Clean dining and kitchen areas after meals
  • Receive and properly store delivered food and supplies (pantry, refrigerator, freezer)
  • Follow all health, sanitation, and safety guidelines during food preparation
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
