Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to handle fast-paced kitchen operations
  • Must have or be willing to obtain food handling certificate if required
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations

Job Duties

  • Cook and package food products prepared to order or kept warm until sold
  • Receive verbal orders from front counter staff for food product requirements
  • Maintain quality and production standards on all menu items
  • Ensure food is fresh and high quality when served
  • Manage portion control and serving temperatures
  • Clean, stock and restock workstations and displays
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment including grills, fryers and ovens
  • Ensure cleanliness of work areas and proper storage of food products
  • Sweep and mop floors at end of shift
  • Be checked out by Floor Supervisor to meet cleanliness standards
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance
