Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • less than 1-year related work experience
  • ability to follow food safety handling policies
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work part-time

  • willingness to complete safety training and certifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards
  • prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely and appropriately
  • follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures including personal hygiene
  • wash and disinfect kitchen area, set-up and break-down work station, and comply with sanitation and cleaning procedures
  • monitor the quality of food prepared and portions served throughout shift
  • follow all company policies and procedures including safety and security
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene
  • communicate clearly and professionally, including answering telephones
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals
  • comply with quality expectations and standards
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently
  • perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, stooping, and standing or walking for extended periods
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested
