Job Requirements
- Minimum of one-year food service experience desired
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math operations
- Working knowledge of safe power use and food storage
- Capacity to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to lift and move items up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Capability to endure heat and moist conditions
- Strong interpersonal skills for guest and team interaction
Job Qualifications
- Basic culinary knowledge
- Understanding of kitchen sanitation standards
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and tools like peelers, knives, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Knowledge of food safety and personal safety procedures
- Experience with food preparation techniques
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Assist with cooking tasks including broiling, sautéing, frying, boiling, steaming, baking, and grilling
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
- Use kitchen tools like peelers and knives safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food lines and kitchen utensils
- Take and record temperatures to comply with health code requirements
- Follow food and personal safety procedures
- Alert management or chef on duty about equipment maintenance needs
