Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One-year certificate from culinary school or comparable experience
  • Ability to read and interpret recipes and prep lists
  • Compliance with health codes
  • Ability to work flexible, irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
  • Basic knife skills
  • Ability to maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils
  • Cook and package batches of food such as burgers, chicken tenders, fries, hotdogs, and prepared BBQ meats
  • Wash and peel ingredients for meal preparation
  • Cut and portion meat according to specifications
  • Prepare food following recipes
  • Accept or reject ingredients based on quality and appearance
  • Keep track of ingredient quantities and ensure sufficient supply
  • Store ingredients in appropriate containers for preservation
  • Clean and sanitize working surfaces, tools, utensils and working area
  • Monitor food and cooling room temperatures
  • Follow directions carefully
  • Deliver high quality food products
  • Keep food spoilage to a minimum
  • Maintain cleanliness by cleaning stands after each event
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment including deep-fat fryers
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • Follow SAVOR rules and regulations
  • Manage workstation stocking and inventory
  • Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Maintain regular attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
