Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to follow food safety guidelines
  • ability to work Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • commitment to following company policies and procedures
  • willingness to attend safety and training meetings

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food is at correct temperature and attractive
  • tastes all prepared food items
  • uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat ensuring food and supplies are stored per standards
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • performs other duties as assigned
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • demonstrates personal commitment to safety
  • abides by all company policies and procedures including use of protective gloves, mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
