Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • Less than one year of relevant experience
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to complete training
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic proficiency in computer usage
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Capability to operate food service equipment safely
  • Availability to work full-time hours from 10:30 am to 7:15 pm
  • Commitment to adhere to healthcare compliance and regulatory standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or GED
  • Less than one year of experience
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification (training provided)
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak fluent English
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Customer and patient focused
  • Multicultural sensitivity
  • Critical thinking and independent judgment abilities
  • Proficiency with food service equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, grills, steamers, broilers, meat slicers, and thermometers

Job Duties

  • Prepares, organizes, assembles and cooks meats, entrees, casseroles, soup, starches, vegetables, sauces, and bakery products according to menu selections
  • Cooks using standardized recipes
  • Creatively utilizes leftovers to minimize waste and reduce food cost
  • Prepares quantities as indicated on computerized production sheets and special function lists
  • Pulls and preps meats, eggs, and vegetables from freezer in advance of production including slicing, breading, baking, steaming, and frying
  • Operates assigned department equipment correctly
  • Cleans and restocks dishes, food, and supplies during operation hours
  • Practices HACCP guidelines and safe food handling techniques, maintaining cleanliness and proper temperature control
  • Performs routine cleaning duties and completes sanitation and production logs
  • Checks out with supervisors or team leads at shift end
