Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to pass a satisfactory background check
  • Completion of a Live Scan background check prior to employment
  • Ability to pass a pre-placement physical examination
  • Must successfully complete a reading comprehension test
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years of experience in food preparation and general kitchen maintenance or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and speak English to perform job duties
  • Skill in effective guest and team interaction using positive body language and active listening
  • Proficiency in arithmetic operations including addition and subtraction of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
  • Capacity to measure food ingredients accurately
  • Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations in food production and service
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Culinary knowledge including inventory, recipes, menus, and production methods
  • Leadership skills to manage small teams collaboratively
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, fryers, and steamers
  • Measure dry and liquid ingredients accurately using proper units of measurement
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in food preparation and storage areas
  • Lead and motivate small teams of 2-5 people to complete tasks efficiently
  • Monitor and complete paperwork including temperature logs and production records
  • Manage daily work schedules and production needs effectively
