Job Requirements

  • High School diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • minimum of two years cooking experience in commercial kitchen
  • current Food Handlers card
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to make independent decisions based on sound judgment
  • demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility
  • self-motivated and proactive team player
  • able to pay attention to multiple details
  • comfortable working in fast-paced environment
  • flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Work and master one kitchen station
  • accept responsibility for personal decisions and actions
  • ensure superior standards of service meet the requirements of guests and employees
  • proactively exceed guest satisfaction by responding and resolving challenges
  • follow cleaning schedule and checklist to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
  • perform food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques including reading cooking instructions
  • wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits
  • measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, and vegetables while adjusting thermostat controls
  • observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and visual inspection
  • carve meats, portion food, add gravies and sauces, and garnish servings
  • perform other duties as assigned
