Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years cooking experience
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • ability to follow instructions and recipes
  • availability to work multiple shifts
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • good personal hygiene practices

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare, cook, and bake food served for the café, tray line, and dining room following chef's specifications
  • comply with sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards
  • follow established food production programs and procedures
  • calculate necessary quantities of ingredients to ensure correct production
  • arrange food attractively on plates
  • follow procedures for storage of food, supplies, and equipment according to safety standards
  • follow standard recipes and preparation techniques to meet diet requirements including substitutions
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment according to specifications
  • provide feedback on recipes and techniques to improve taste
  • perform other duties as assigned
