Job Requirements
- Criminal record clearance prior to initial presence in the community
- Pass all health screens such as physical, TB, drug test
- Current basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain within first 30 days
- Ability to attractively prepare meals that meet dietary requirements
- Capability to prepare special limited diets according to policy
- Timeliness in meal preparation to ensure meals are served on time
- Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness according to schedule
- Willingness to communicate and report menu changes appropriately
Job Qualifications
- Current basic first aid certification or commitment to obtain within first 30 days
- Experience in meal preparation in a similar setting preferred
- Ability to work with seniors and a compassionate attitude
- Knowledge of special diet preparation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with culinary team
Job Duties
- Attractively prepare meals that are appealing and tasty
- Prepare special limited diets per policy
- Prepare meals in a timely manner to ensure they are served on time
- Identify menu errors and make appropriate corrections as needed
- Bring necessary changes to the Culinary Director's or Culinary Coordinator's attention
- Ensure all menu changes are reviewed with the Culinary Director or Culinary Coordinator before changes are made
- Keep kitchen clean, sanitary and orderly following cleaning schedule
