UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a distinguished Southern California meeting and retreat venue offering guests a unique experience amidst the scenic San Bernardino Mountains. Nestled on the tranquil shores of Lake Arrowhead, the lodge spans an impressive 50-acre property designed to accommodate various group events, conferences, and retreats from September through mid-June. Job Requirements

  • must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 plus years food preparation and kitchen maintenance experience
  • ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
  • ability to follow safety standards
  • ability to maintain regular attendance
  • ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • must possess valid CA noncommercial Class C Driver's License
  • must be 18 years or older
  • must pass satisfactory background check and physical examination
  • must have satisfactory driving record
  • ability to operate independently and exercise good judgment

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years food preparation experience
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to read, understand, and speak English
  • ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully
  • ability to work cooperatively as part of a team
  • knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
  • knowledge of inventory control principles
  • strong culinary techniques and terminology understanding
  • excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • prepare and produce menu items for dining
  • prepare and produce foods for banquets
  • serve conference guests effectively
  • interact with team members in a high-volume kitchen
