Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • two years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading materials in a warehouse or store setting or any equivalent combination of training and experience
  • valid state driver's license
  • ability to meet attendance requirements
  • ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • ability to cook, taste, and smell food
  • capability to perform duties involving frequent walking, standing, kneeling, or squatting with occasional sitting

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Plan menus and purchase food and supplies necessary for meal preparation
  • clean, cook, and prepare a variety of foods and beverages using kitchen equipment and utensils
  • ensure enough food is prepared based on the number of people served
  • serve food and beverages in a presentable manner
  • prepare plates for infants or individuals needing assistance
  • set tables with plates, napkins, and utensils or set up buffet lines
  • assist in coordinating and carrying out arrangements for programs and special events
  • supervise residents assisting in meal preparation and kitchen cleaning
  • perform other related work as required
