Job Requirements

  • Ability to apply basic math skills for inventory and portioning

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a food service setting such as hospital, school, or college preferred
  • Culinary schooling or relevant cook experience ideal but willing to train motivated individuals
  • Ability to apply elementary mathematical statistics for inventory and portioning
  • Strong work ethic and hospitality-driven approach
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute where needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and resident dietary needs
  • Ensure all meals are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure timely and efficient meal service
  • Accommodate special dietary requirements including allergies, textures, and preferences
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and receiving food and supplies as needed
